Images Cinema
Images Cinema, a non-profit community movie theater, presents a wide range of independent, foreign, and classic films. Images Cinema is dedicated to the exploration of films as an art form, a source of entertainment, and a means to build community.
At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Images had to shut its doors for the first time in over 100 years of operation. I designed social media posts and a movie-sized poster to encourage the community to support the theater that’s supported them for so many years.
Images Poster, 2020 The photo is a street shot of the theater’s marquee, styled like a movie poster. The laurel wreath details around different ways to support the theater are like those used to list film festival awards. The poster was displayed in a light box outside the theater.
